The Photoblog section allows any registered user to create an online blog, with an emphasis on photography. Posts are listed on your profile page, and most recent posts are listed on the site Photoblog home and the main homepage.
There is no restriction to how you use blogs - you can post a couple of images, with supporting text or you might add dozens of images with commentary - the choice is yours!
Any logged in user can create a Photoblog post by clicking on the 'add an entry' link on the left within the left hand navigation.
- Enter the title for your post - this is used in various lists throughout the site
- Add your introductory text - the first 100 characters will appear on the Photoblog summary page
- When you first start your new entry 3 image blocks are automatically displayed
- Browse for your first photo and click on the icon to upload it. This image will be resized if necessary and displayed at the top of your post - it's also used as a thumbnail in blog lists throughout the site
- A text box will appear alongside the new photo, so you can add any associated words
- Repeat the browse and upload of your 2nd photo (all photoblogs need to contain a minimum of two photos).
- If you'd like to add more than 3 images, click the 'Add another item' button
- Below the photos you can add additional text within the 'Body' section. This content can be formatted and you can also introduce additional images by clicking on the appropriate icon
- Don't forget to 'Tag' your photoblog so everyone can find it
- Select the language you are using to write your post - this lets the site show content in different languages to different users
- Click 'save'
Photoblog posts are published immediately, and the owner of the post can edit or delete it at any time.
Formatting and layout techniques
To give users flexibility to achieve a wide range of layouts and formatting, a range of techniques are available, but they can seem daunting. Here are some tricks you can try:

- Don't cut-and-paste content from Microsoft Word - it can bring over unwanted formatting
- See how other Photoblog posts are formatted - if you see a layout you like you can cut-and-pate the content into your editor window, then change it to suit your needs maintaining the format.
