F72EXR landscapes comparison

For comparison with the photograph shown with the F72EXR this was taken at the same time with a Canon Ixus 500 in auto mode.

Does anybody know why the exposure values chosen by the two cameras should be so different?

If you put these in the same photoblog, we could see them at the same time a comment. Try that if you would.

This is a lovely photo but the horizon is'nt straight I know cos I do wonky horizons all the time and what Steve says is a good IDEA!
