Black and White

A little collection of my favourite place - in black and white. I've always loved vintage styles and black and white photography so this was a real treat to create! I hope you like it, any tips or comments highly valued. I'm only 14 so any advice you give will truly help me out

U have a gift, and an eye for the scenery and picking a shot - I'm not very good at the technical stuff, so I'll leave that to someone else.
You've made it to my favourites, definately 'one to watch'!
Thanks
Kaz

Hi Oceane,
you have an eye for good photo motifs
I would be satisfied if i would bring such a nice collection of photos home from a day at the sea.
Interesting to see that a young person is in B/W photos. Many members here were born at a time when 98% of all photos were B/W, TV was B/W only and magazines and newspapers had not as many pictures as today and most of them were also B/W. So for us it is something quite normal. In your age it is an indication that you really think about your photos or art in general.
Write a bit about the way you have taken your photos. Did you use a B/W mode setting in your camera or did you use some software later on? At which time of day were most of the photos taken? It will be much easier to say something about possible tips or tricks.
In some photos there are some slightly overexposed parts. It's better to take shots which are slightly under-exposed if you have the choice between these 2 options. It is easy to bring out details in photos which are to dark but difficult to impossible to get the same results from photos which are over-exposed.
The horizon in 2-3 photos is a bit tilt, no problem - can be sorted out in 3 minutes. In some other photos the horizon looks bent. You are either very tall or your camera has a bit of lens barrel effect at some zoom values. This can be sorted out easily as well.
Tip? Go out - take more photos
