LYNTON & BARNSTAPLE STEAM RAILWAY
I needed somewhere to take my 2 Grandson's at the weekend and decided to visit the Steam railway at Woody Bay on Exmoor. The railway closed in 1935 - this is the first phase in rebuilding one of the world's most famous and picturesque narrow gauge railways; the legendary Lynton & Barnstaple Railway. A one mile section has now been reopened allowing visitors to travel by train along the original 'L&B Railway' route above the Heddon Valley near Parracombe in South West England's Exmoor National Park.

All steamed up and ready to go.

Turned around and coming in to link up.

Connecting up

I think it's connected???

All aboard, and hey Mister, you're supposed to use that camera!!!!!!

A drop of oil before we go

And a drop more for good measure

You can't get the staff you know!

All ready to go

The business end

And off we go.
The weather was awfull, very strong winds, bleak sky and intermittent downpours but we had a good time. All photo's taken using s100fs.
