I bought a FinePix S2800DH last week and the battery life seems to be shocking!
THe batteries supplied in the box lasted for about 15 photos (and me playing around with the menu options etc) then since then i have gone through about 6 sets of 4xAA battereis, each lasting for no more than about 30 photographs. I had some of the durocell ones with the charge tester and all of the batteries were 90%+ charged after my camera said they were dead. I tried all of the batteries in other devices and they all worked perfectly fine?!
I purchased the Finepix HS10 camera today and I have both a 2gb SD card and a 4gb SDHC card.
When I insert them into my camera, no matter what setting I choose, it says that I have at most 89 (4gb) or 56 (2gb) pictures left but when I check them on the computer, only partially has the memory card filled up. I have tried formatting them as well.
I have recently tried the super macro mode within the auto setting on my HS10 and have noticed some regular lines and red spots appearing in the exact same place within different pictures..
I am wondering if anyone can explain what may be wrong here, have i got a problem on my lens?

I have a fujifilm finepix s2500hd camera (around 3 months old), and i'm having real trouble connecting it to my computer. I also have windows xp, if thats important.
I have installed the finepix viewer and everything, and it worked for me once before about a month ago, but i tried to upload pictures tonight, so i could edit them, and it said it was connected, but i wasn't able to view any pictures. I also noticed a pop-up stating that the device malfunctioned and windows did not recognise it.
Ok, so I bought a FinePix AV100 and when I connect the USB cable to the computer, it says ''Please insert the Compact Disc labeled 'Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD' into your CD-ROM drive(J:) and then click OK.''
I don't have the Windows XP..blah blah blah CD..
What should I do?
I have a Fujifilm Finepix A850 and the images it produces are very grainy, especially in low light conditions. I managed to reduce the grain a bit by reducing the quality setting to 4MP instead of 8MP, however this reduces the amount of cropping I can do on my images.
Is there any easy way to reduce the grain on the images? Perhaps by changing the settings or something?
I believe that these cameras are exactly the same. I have been reading about people having problems with these. I own the S1600, and yes I did have a problem with mine too. Sent back for repair (should have been replaced as I was promised, but came back with my pics still in the internal memory!)
When looking on review sites under comments, many people are complaining about these cameras.
I think the problems lie in the manufacturers quality control systems, (in China?) and people are blaming it on poor camera design.
I am still having problems with the site (about a week now!). Cannot get past the first page of the ‘Latest Photos’ gallery (no buttons at the bottom of the page). Anybody else having problems?

I have an S8100FD and am getting a problem. When powering on, the lens comes out, stops midway and retreats leaving the above message. This is intermittent but annoying. Any suggestions please.
