need help

i bought a S1800 recently, have a few queries...

this particular model is Chinese made...does this effect the quality??

while playing the video through TV an Computer i found that the playback sound quality is not at all good, the camera primarily records the sound of motor and the sound of the lens movement rather the actual sound what i want to record. Is it supposed to be like this or it can be any better.....

pls advice..

What isn't made in China these days?

Whoever said 'nothing is impossible' never tried to staple water to a tree!

I have the same camera and it's made in China (had to laugh at Gee its G's comment) it shouldn't pose any problems.

As for the sound -  this is primarily a stills camera - not a camcorder. I think if you want the quality in sound that a camcorder offers then you need to buy a camcorder. If the picture quality is OK then I think that is really all you can expect.

Be what you are, say what you feel, 'cos those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.
