Brilliant shot. Lots of detail on those craters. I expect the original looks amazing full size.

Please take a look at my moon shot in my gallery. I used an S200exr. Not as good as yours but I'd appreciate your opinion.

Thank you for all the kind words. I just could not beleive it when I actually looked at the shot for real. I definately was not expecting what I got. Thank you to the camera Gods lol.

I used the eye piece as I have to change glasses otherwise. I think this way you become the tripod.

I've been and looked at all your galleries and I impressed with them all. Beautiful Pictures Smile

Hi

Really love this shot, all the details of the crater. This 30x optic zoom really helps to reach beautiful deatails like this.

Greetings

PICTURE SETTINGS:

Try just using automatic. Spot Focus on one of the darker areas. You'll find it's close to the following.

f/5.6     1/300   ISO 400   AWB   spot focus   jpg

3648 x 2736 (50.7" x 38")

The Image you see here has been made smaller, 0.99 MB. I cropped it to 8.5 x 11 to save for the web.

The original 28.6 MB.

I hope this helps it is also posted here: http://www.myfinepix.ru/forum/2/144112

Hello mecmec

Hope the settings work out for you. I've only just got the camera and I'm still finding things out. It really is a great camera. As to digiscoping, I can't afford that as well. Maybe in the future. It's taking me all my time to cope with what I have Big smile

Thank you for all your posts. I was so excited when I saw what I had. The trouble with a tripod is you have to carry it. As I get older I carry less.

I have printed these out on 8.5x11 Smaller than the original so I can put them where I can see them. I still find it difficult to think that I took them.

Re; Exif info

I just used Auto in this case. Strange though it must seem, auto works on most images. Having had 3 Fugi cameras in the past, unless something is really strange with low light auto will work. You have to trust the camera and the HS10 is the best camera I've ever had.

Hand held and with the following settings:

f/5.6     1/300   ISO 400   AWB   spot focus   jpg

3648 x 2736 (50.7" x 38")

The Image you see here has been made smaller, 0.99 MB. I cropped it to 8.5 x 11 to save for the web.

The original 28.6 MB.

Sharpness Normal

So that's the info for anyone who's interested. You will probably see the same reading if you have an HS10 and the moon is just over half full.

The only thing I did was sharpen in CS3 as I can control it. This way is more gentle compared to any camera.

Hope this helps everyone.
