Hi Nigel,
this is one charming colourful photo!
Do you have any experience with editing photos? If so - please try to soften the background or de-saturize it. The concrete silos in the background just take away much of the beauty of the ship elements.

Waiting a bit until the background is more appropriate may well be the best way, but another way to fix it after the event would be to clone out the silo. This is quite easy with the Photoshop clone stamp, and I'm sure other programmes will have the equivalent?
