White on white is difficult.  Don't be afraid to push the exposure a little to make a more high key image.

This example is a little extreme but you can see how the exposure increases across the frame for a very high key affect:

Thanks for the feedback Laurie, and the other comments.  I did use +1ev so perhaps I should have tried higher values also.  I might give a go agan tomorrow and see how it looks.
